Waxing or Depilation is the process of removing hair from the root by applying a sticky substance, such as wax, to body hair and then removing it.
Waxing should last between 3 and 6 weeks, depending on your hair growth, waxing location, and technique.
- Your hair should be about half of a cm long or quarter of an inch so that the wax can grip and remove it easily.
- Exfoliate your skin gently the day before your appointment with a body scrub and mitt.
- Make sure your skin is clean and freshly washed.
- Dry your skin, as the wax will not adhere to damp skin.
Use exfoliating cleansers whenever possible. To remove dead skin cells, gently rub your skin in a circular motion. A few minutes before applying the wax, use a warm compress to open your pores and prevent ingrown hairs.
If you are properly prepared for waxing pain should be minimal. I also recommend avoiding waxing for a couple of days before and during periods. Sometimes cool compresses reduce pain too.
- Cold compresses are excellent for soothing red skin and minimizing the appearance of red bumps, irritation, or inflammation.
- Cool gels containing naturally calming ingredients such as Aloe vera or tea tree oil can also help soothe newly waxed skin. Antiseptic creams or hydrocortisone creams should be used.
- Wear loose clothing immediately following your waxing session. Wear a fresh pair of comfortable underwear if you've just had a bikini or Brazilian.
- Exfoliating two to three days after waxing is ideal.

Waxing removes hair from the follicle, whereas shaving just cuts it at the surface so waxing will keep you smoother for longer by making unwanted hairs thinner and, in some cases, not growing back at all.
Brazilian wax is a better option to remove all the hair in "that area". Even though it could be more painful, be sure that your skin will become smoother. Unlike bikini waxing, Brazilian requires taking off underwear.
The best manicure and pedicure I've ever had! Olya is a great master who always listens what I want and make it even better. The accuracy is just exceptional, I haven't found anything similar in Thunder Bay. Manicure holds for three weeks easily and I am redoing it just because my nails are growing like crazy. I've done pedicure only once a month ago and it's still in a perfect shape! Of course all instruments are sterilized:) I highly recommend to try this place. You will be pleasantly surprised.
